Lauderdale County School Board meets The Lauderdale
County Board of Education addressed issues, including the use of
personal communication devices by students and teachers and drug
dogs within the school system, at its regular March meeting.
Superintendent Phillip Jackson also discussed the possibility
of putting the system’s insurance policies out for bids to
maintain a fair value with members of the Board of Education
during the meeting. Jackson also reported that textbooks and
files for teachers up for tenure are available for review in the
District Office. Budget amendments were approved, as well as
Codes 0100 through 0600 with minor changes made. Upcoming issues
for the agenda include the policy on the use of drug dogs, an
Energy Education report, cafeteria salary schedules and board
meeting sites.
