In honor of National Women’s Heart Health Month, the Lauderdale
County office of Coordinated School Health asked everyone in the
schools to wear red.
“Thousands of women die each year from heart disease,” said
Lauderdale County Director of Coordinated School Health Michelle
Brazier, RN, BSN. “It is very important to be aware of heart
health. Many staff members wore red and the office of
Coordinated School Health says ‘Thank you’ for increasing the
awareness of Heart Health in our community.”
The office of Coordinated School Health asks that everyone do
their part and be Heart Smart throughout the year to keep
students, families, faculty and staff of the Lauderdale County
School System healthy and happy in the future.
