Board of Education appoints
student representatives

Lauderdale County Board of Education Chairman Eva Drain is
pictured presenting representatives from Halls and Ripley high
schools with certificates of achievement for their participation
in this year’s SCOPE program. The students will also serve as
liaisons to the Lauderdale County Board of Education in the
2007-2008 school year.
Two high school students were honored at the
last meeting of the Lauderdale County Board of Education, held
in the library of Halls High School. Halls High School student
Cody Dew and Ripley High School student Thomas Pillow have been
awarded certificates of achievement from Lauderdale County Board
of Education Chairman Eva Drain for their participation in this
year’s SCOPE activities.
The students recently accompanied Ripley High
School Principal Bobby Baker to represent Lauderdale County
Schools in the Student Conference on Polices in Education held
at the Tennessee State University downtown campus in Nashville
and have earned the honor to serve as student representatives on
the Board of Education for the 2007-2008 school year.
