The students will jump rope in Physical Education classes at RES throughout the month.

Third Graders simulate space experiments

Third graders at Ripley Elementary School are enjoying the school’s Orbital Lab, a project designed to simulate plants growing in space. In the experiments, three different soils were used by Ms. Diane Akin’s third-grade class to grow soybeans and wheat. The lab had 15 hours of light and one group added hydroponic powder dissolved in the water. A growth chart was kept which shows definite differences in the growth patterns.
