Artist donates painting to LMS Library
Nationally acclaimed artist
Dolph Smith recently donated a
painting to the LMS Library to be used on its “Tennessee Wall of
Fame.” The Ripley native contributed his painting, “Great Field
Barn, Nesting,” to the several paintings already featured on the
wall.
LMS holds “Spring Bargain Book
Sale”
The LMS library recently
sponsored a half-priced book sale, with money raised by the sale
targeted to help offset library costs for the next school year.
Student Council and Junior Beta Club members volunteered to help
run the book sale and many teachers and students took the
opportunity to get some great bargains before the summer begins.
Team 3 holds Pajama Day
Teachers on Team 3 at Lauderdale
Middle School recently scheduled Pajama Day to encourage
students to pick up a book, kick back and enjoy the adventure of
reading. An atmosphere of relaxation and fun was achieved when
students brought lawn chairs, blankets, and comfortable pillows.
The event also encouraged earning needed AR points before the
end of the school year.
