Blackwood named HJH Principal

Mike Blackwood is coming home to Halls Junior High School for the 2010-2011 academic year. Lauderdale County Superintendent of Schools Joey Hassell recently announced Blackwood’s appointment to serve as HJH Principal, returning him to the school where he served as an educator for 15 years.

Blackwood is one of three new principals in the Lauderdale County system. “Change always presents challenges,” said Hassell. “However, I am grateful to the newest school leaders in Lauderdale County. Each leader exhibits integrity, dedication, organization, and dependability. And all three individuals are energized and focused on building collaborative school cultures that are responsive to the children of Lauderdale County.”
